Releasing That Which No Longer Serves Me

Letting Go With Archangel Michael"People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar." - Thich Nhat Hanh

There comes a time in most of our lives when we experience the feeling of being "stuck".

It could mean feeling suffocated by certain relationships, our jobs or are just generally finding it harder to feel joy in every day life. It most certainly means that it's time to address this feeling and move on.

Easier said than done? Well, would life be any fun if all the answers were handed to us on a silver platter? Releasing is not necessarily difficult, but it does take sincere intention, a pinch of patience and perhaps a little help from your friends up above.

Archangel Michael Essence BannerWhat's Holding You up from Moving Forward?

If you are struggling with recurring problems (for example if you find yourself developing the same destructive relationship with different people)  or just can't seem to get past a painful experience that you have suffered, you may want to ask yourself what it is that you are holding on to that's holding you up from moving on.

Making the decision to let go of old behaviours or relationships takes courage and strength too. Calling upon Archangel Michael for support in times when you need to do away with misaligned energies that are holding you back can be of great help.

Meditating to Release

1. Find a quiet place and let those at home know I need 30 minutes of undisturbed quiet time for myself. I take my note pad and my angel cards and find a comfortable position to sit in.

2. Focussing on my breath for a few minutes, I calm my mind, letting go of the every day chatter. Once I feel that I am "in the room", I then call upon Archangel Michael and my spirit guides to protect me and guide me to help me listen to the answers in my heart.

3. I take out the card "Release"  On a blank page in my notebook, I write down my question "What is Holding Me Back?" I continue to meditate on the question, focussing on my breath until I feel like my hand wants to write something. I go with that feeling and just write without thinking or reacting to what my hand is writing.

4. When there is nothing left to write, I thank the angels and my spirit guides.

Some suggest burning the notes to help release that which is holding you back and this can indeed feel very therapeutic. But what is most important is that in your heart you have formed the intention to let go of what is holding you back. The answer as to "what's next?" will come when it is meant to and when you are ready to receive it.
