6 Simple Decluttering Tips
Are you a hoarder, a procrastinator or simply a believer in the chaos theory of organisation?
When it comes to keeping our homes and work areas tidy, it is easy to look up one day to find clutter has crept up on us. |
Here are 5 simple tips to help you tackle your clutter:
1. Tackle one area at a time: Trying to declutter a whole home or even a whole room at once can be feel overwhelming and leave you de-motivated. Try dividing your de-cluttering into bite size pieces. For example, tackle one cupboard at a time or resolve to clear the mess on your desk this weekend.
2. Be charitable: Do you often find yourself looking at a closet full of clothes you never wear or a shelf full of books you are not going to read again? Unless they are real classics or have sentimental value, consider giving them away. Your old clothes and books can make a real difference to others in need.
3. Streamline: You can save a lot of time in the mornings by streamlining your routine. Organsie your bathroom area to help you easily find what you need in the morning (tooth paste, toothbrush, cleansing routine). Move anything you don't use on a daily basis out of sight.
4. Group your clutter - certain clutter is difficult to avoid (e.g. loose stationery). Group them in a way that is logical and easy to stick with (e.g. have a box in your study where you stick all loose envelopes and other random stationery; keep a bowl near where you undress to throw loose change from your pockets into).
5. Distinguish between "need" and "want" - think about what an item means to you and whether you are holding on to it because of what you are using it for or what it means to you to hold on to it. Unless you really are using it, consider letting it go.
6. Let go of energy vampires - it's not just stuff lying around that sucks our energy, certain people can too. Mentally go through the people in your life and resolve to distance or protect yourself from those who leave you feeling depleted or simply don't give as much to the relationship as you do.

TCM for Children
TCM has a track record spanning thousands of years and is effective as a preventative medicine for young children. There are hundreds of herbal formulas for children, which are clinically proven to improve the immunity and resistance to common bugs.
|
Herbs such as cordyceps, in particular, are effective in improving the lung and kidney functions and are safe for children. TCM infant massage can also prove helpful in preventing many sicknesses by improving Qi levels and clearing excess heat in the body.
Common child sicknesses that TCM can help with include: • Asthma • Cough • Eczema and other skin problems • Bedwetting • Hyperactivity (i.e. ADHD, ADD, etc.) • Digestion problems (i.e. colic, constipation, diarrhea etc.) • Allergies • Ear infections • Common cold • Strep throat and Tonsillitis
