The Experiment
Ask any person what they like best about taking a holiday and chances are you will get answers like "relaxing" or "sleeping in late".
Putting a bit of space and time between myself and my daily life makes the bigger picture clearer - "where am I" and "where do I want to be headed"? On a recent holiday I realised that I want to focus more on my practice of yoga and reiki. Running (which I consider to be my personal form of meditation) is also something I am desperate to do more of. But being a realist (a title you earn by failing to achieve goals that turn out to be possible only if you know photoshop) I decided to experiment with breaking down my spiritual practice into bite sized pieces. So ... drum roll please ... I am committing myself for the next 30 days to a daily practice of: - 15 minutes running - 15 minutes yoga - 15 minutes reiki
I have very little expectations of reaching Nirvana by November. In fact, if anything, my intention is actually just to commit to my practice and keep an open mind.I'll be journaling throughout on my blog, so if you are really stuck for something to read during a boring meeting, feel free to have a look (and by all means please do chime in if you have any thoughts).
